MAS DE CALDERA VINEYARD

ONE HUNDRED YEAR-OLD VINEYARD

1.5 ha (0.75 ha of garnacha, 0.75 ha of samsó). Output: 2,000 kg/ha

This is one of the Prioriat vineyards that has endured longest in time, at an age of 110 years. This vine was one of the first in the town to be replanted after the phylloxera plague in the late nineteenth century. Its low output (an average of 300 g per vine) bears witness to the Bartolomé i Vernet family’s effort to safeguard the essence and unique heritage of this privileged land.
