Celler Bartolomé exemplifies the tenacity of Priorat families in the care of old vines, guaranteeing the excellent quality of their wines. Cultivating native varieties such as Garnacha and Carignan, generation after generation, they have produced renowned wines such as “Primitiu de Bellmunt” and “Clos Bartolomé”. Since 1997, they have been creating unique and authentic wines, respecting tradition and committed to sustainability. The winery is distinguished by its meticulous attention to every detail of the production process, from the vine to the bottle, ensuring that each wine faithfully reflects the unique character of the Priorat.

The vineyards, known as trossos, of Celler Bartolomé are located in Bellmunt del Priorat and in the Lloar zone, the Priorat territory are real treasures in this characteristic landscape. These hundred-year-old vineyards are worked with traditional techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation, guaranteeing the preservation of local biodiversity and the quality of the grapes. The centuries-old vines produce high-quality grapes that give rise to wines with a unique and authentic expression of the Priorat terroir. Manual work and the use of traditional tools reflect the winery’s commitment to tradition and sustainability.

1. Els Molins

Natural amphitheatre of 6 hectares, 200 meters high, with slate and licorice soil. 3 hectares of Garnacha and 3 hectares of Cariyena, aged from 40 to 100 years. Yield: 4,000 kg/ha to 2,500 kg/ha. Primitiu, Clos Bartolomé an Clos Bartolomé Blanc are produced.

2. Els Tortells

The estate is on the border of the Priorat, between the Lloar and the Molar, with vineyards between 300 and 400 meters high. Dry stone terraces in the shape of an amphitheatre. The limestone soils give the grapes freshness and structure. There are 6 hectares of vines from 30 to 80 years old with Shiraz and Grenache.

3. Grinyó

2 ha vineyard, with slopes of up to 40%, where the activity is carried out by mule. At an altitude of 200 meters of slaty land of licorella sandstone and carboniferous slate, the grapes are Garnacha and Carignan, with a yield of 2,000 kg/ha. Vineyards over 120 years old where our most select wine is made, waiting to go on the market in 1900.

4. Mas del Caldera

Century-old priorat vineyard, 1.5 hectares, located at the bottom of the term in slaty soils of the sandstone and carboniferous shale types. It was replanted after the phylloxera plague and stands out for its low yield, with an average of 300 grams per vine, of Macabeu varieties. We produce Clos Bartolomé Blanc from this vineyard.

5. La Fornatxa

It is a piece of Llicorella terraces of 2.5 hectares of Garnacha and Carignan, with a yield of 4,000 kg/ha. It has terraces with old Cariñena vines of around 70 years and Grenache of 30 years. It is a perfect setting where our winery is located with splendid views of the Montsant Natural Park and the Sarraí Mountain. Clos Bartolomé negre is made from this vineyard.
